We’re currently seeking a full-time, in-person Special Education Teacher to support a school in Fairfield County, CT for the 2026–2027 school year.

Onsite, 37.5 hours per week

School Year: 2026-2027

Qualifications

Hold one of the required special education licenses listed for this role (e.g., Comprehensive Special Education 1–12 (265), PK–12 (065), PreK–12 (165), or integrated early childhood/elementary + special education options as listed).

Demonstrated experience working with students who have special needs diagnoses.

Ability to support highly specialized student needs within dedicated programs or classroom environments.

Ability to teach and reinforce functional life skills and independence-focused learning objectives.

Ability to support students in transition-focused programming as needs are identified for the caseload.

Responsibilities

Provide specialized instruction for students with identified disabilities and individualized learning needs.

Deliver classroom strategies aligned to the needs of the student population served (including autism support and behavior-focused programming).

Incorporate supports such as sensory accommodations and adaptive technologies when used in the classroom setting.

Teach functional academics and daily living skills to promote student independence and post-school readiness.

Support vocational and transition-oriented skill development for students preparing for adulthood.
