Join a large, fast-paced financial services organization as an
Accounting Manager
supporting a high-volume shared services environment. This role is ideal for a leader who enjoys developing teams, driving process improvements, and remaining hands-on in the day-to-day accounting operations.
The Accounting Manager will oversee a team responsible for core accounting functions while partnering cross-functionally with finance, operations, and executive leadership. The successful candidate will bring a balance of strong people leadership, technical accounting expertise, and a willingness to roll up their sleeves to solve problems and support critical business initiatives.
Key
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals within a shared services environment.
Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting deliverables.
Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and internal controls.
Drive process improvements, standardization efforts, and automation initiatives to increase efficiency and scalability.
Analyze financial results, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to leadership.
Support audits, regulatory reporting, and requests from internal and external stakeholders.
Partner with finance, operations, treasury, and other business units to resolve complex accounting issues.
Assist with special projects, system implementations, acquisitions, and process transformation initiatives.
Serve as a hands-on contributor during peak close periods and high-priority projects.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Experience managing teams in a shared services, centralized accounting, financial services, or large corporate environment.
Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
Advanced proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
Experience in financial services, banking, lending, insurance, or other highly regulated industries.
Background supporting large transaction volumes and complex accounting operations.
Exposure to system implementations, process automation, or business transformation initiatives.
