Project Engineer

to join their team in

Liberty, NC

to support

capital projects, manufacturing launches, construction activities, and pre-production trials .

About the Role

Location

Liberty, NC (Onsite | Long Term Contract)

Local candidates are preferred, but we are open to non local candidates who are ready to relocate independently.

Occasional domestic and international travel may be required, up to 10%.

Standard working hours: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with flexibility for project needs.

Key Responsibilities

Track and report project KPIs, milestones, schedules, and deliverables.

Coordinate project activities across engineering, construction, purchasing, and project management teams.

Support construction milestones, equipment installation, and pre-production trial activities.

Develop standardized project reports, schedules, and documentation.

Identify project risks, resolve issues, and implement corrective actions.

Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution.

Manage multiple priorities and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Must Haves

Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of equivalent professional experience in a project-related role.

Experience managing capital investment projects exceeding $500K.

Strong experience in KPI reporting, data analysis, project scheduling, and milestone tracking.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Ability to work weekends, holidays, and scheduled shutdown periods as needed.

Flexibility to support evening meetings with international teams when required.

Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 10%, as needed.

Added Bonus

Automotive or battery manufacturing experience.

Experience with structured project management and gated milestone processes.

Continuous improvement and problem-solving experience.

Experience coordinating large-scale manufacturing or construction projects.
