Title: DevOps Engineer (OpenShift)
Charlotte, NC
Model: Hybrid 4x/week onsite
Duration: 12-18 month contract
Pay: $65/hr
Position Overview
We are seeking a hands-on DevOps Engineer
to join a lean, highly technical team supporting multiple enterprise applications. This role will focus on CI/CD pipeline support, OpenShift workloads, automation, troubleshooting, vulnerability remediation, and improving the reliability and performance of the overall deployment environment.
The ideal candidate is a strong technical problem solver who is comfortable working independently, troubleshooting issues from start to finish, and automating solutions rather than simply escalating problems.
Required Qualifications
Strong hands-on experience supporting DevOps and CI/CD environments
Experience troubleshooting CI/CD pipeline and deployment failures
Experience working with containerized platforms such as OpenShift
Strong scripting and/or automation experience
Ability to independently investigate technical issues and drive them through resolution
Understanding of deployment patterns, application onboarding, and environment standardization
Experience with vulnerability remediation, application reliability, or performance improvement
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced enterprise environment with limited oversight
Strong sense of ownership and ability to prioritize incoming technical requests
Key Responsibilities
Support and maintain multiple application CI/CD pipelines and OpenShift workloads
Troubleshoot, investigate, and remediate CI/CD and OpenShift failures
Onboard new applications and services into existing deployment environments
Standardize existing services and deployment patterns
Identify and automate repetitive operational tasks
Support vulnerability remediation and ongoing vulnerability management
Drive performance, stability, and reliability improvements
Respond to deployment, troubleshooting, onboarding, and production support requests
Provide occasional weekend deployment support as needed
