LHH is working with a well-established law firm in Chicago and is seeking an experienced
Senior Legal Biller
to join its finance team. This role is ideal for a billing professional who thrives in a fast-paced legal environment, can independently manage a full billing desk, and brings strong expertise in complex legal billing processes.
Key
Manage the full lifecycle of attorney billing from pre-bills through final invoices
Handle complex client billing arrangements, including split billing, flat-fee billing, and electronic billing
Prepare, review, and process monthly invoices accurately and efficiently
Monitor unbilled time, accounts receivable, and billing workflows
Resolve billing discrepancies and respond to attorney and client inquiries
Ensure compliance with client billing guidelines and electronic billing requirements
Collaborate with attorneys, clients, and finance team members to address billing issues
Support billing process improvements and workflow efficiencies
Assist with training, mentoring, or supervising billing staff as needed
Ability to independently manage a billing desk with minimal supervision
Excellent communication and client-service abilities
Seeking a candidate with at least 3-5 years of experience
Hourly - $30-40
