Job Description

Parking Control Officer – Wilkes Barre, PA- $18/hr

Schedule: Monday- Saturday 5:30 AM to 1:30 PM

Position Summary

Ensures that staff and visitors are safely parked in designated parking lots, not in driveways roadways.

Monitor entrances, parking lots, and designated traffic/parking zones.

Enforce traffic patterns, parking regulations, and safety procedures.

Communicate effectively with visitors, staff, and local law enforcement when necessary.

Identify and report unsafe conditions, accidents, incidents, or security concerns

Maintain visibility in assigned parking control areas and provide excellent customer service to the public.

Sets up and remove traffic cones, barriers, signs, and other traffic control devices

Respond appropriately to emergencies and assist with evacuation or traffic redirection when needed.

Complete incident reports and maintain accurate records as required.

Ability to successfully pass required background checks

Completion of a PA Motor Vehicle Record Check

Previous experience in traffic control, security, public safety, law enforcement, crossing guard services, or related fields preferred.

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Ability to remain calm and professional in high-traffic and stressful situations.
