What You'll Be Doing
Writing and maintaining embedded C on Linux-based set-top box / CPE platforms
Working within the RDK (Reference Design Kit) stack - middleware, drivers, and app layer integration
Contributing to a growing Rust footprint as the team modernizes parts of the platform
Debugging low-level issues across hardware, drivers, and the middleware layer.
Collaborating with hardware, QA, and platform teams to ship reliable video experiences to real customers, at scale
Working directly with chipset vendors and SoC documentation as needed
Previous experience in broadband/OTT/teleco required
What They're Looking For
Working knowledge of Rust, or a real appetite to get sharp on it fast
Comfortable with the usual embedded toolkit: cross-compilation, debuggers (gdb), version control, build systems (Yocto/Buildroot a plus)
Background in set-top boxes, broadcast devices, gateways, or similar consumer video/CPE hardware
Nice to Have
Familiarity with kernel drivers or bootloader-level work (U-Boot, etc.)
Prior work with a specific SoC vendor (Broadcom, Amlogic, Realtek, etc.)
Prior work with RDK
