Inpatient Primary Therapist III Floyd Behavioral Health is seeking an Inpatient Primary Therapist III. The facility includes both inpatient and partial hospitalization services. It has 56 beds available. The patient population consists of adults only. The focus of the position is primarily on group therapies. Patients are present from 0900 to 1400. Group therapy sessions include treatment issues, coping skills, cognitive skills, and wellness. Patients may also participate in recovery groups addressing mental health and substance abuse. Candidates will need to be comfortable and proficient with group therapies. Skills in de-escalation and recognizing when involuntary holds need to be signed are essential. Strong team communication skills are required, including participation in weekly treatment team meetings. There may be instances of 1:1 interventions as needed for de-escalation, but no scheduled 1:1 sessions will occur. The department includes a multidisciplinary team with security on-site 24/7. Panic buttons are available on badges, and codes can be called if necessary. Experience with EMR, preferably EPIC, is desired. The dress code is business casual with closed-toe shoes.
