Flowtec is partnered with an established General Contractor, whose looking for new talent, and has a strong reputation for delivering complex commercial construction projects across the Midwest.

More specifically, with backlog for 2027, including a large project in Columbus that his Project Manager will lead, they need to grow their core divisions leadership team. See below for more details.

The Role

The Project Manager will operate as a senior leader within the construction group and will be responsible for overseeing complex project(s) while providing leadership and support to the Superintendent and project group.

This is a highly visible position with real authority and accountability. The expectation goes beyond individual project execution and includes maintaining consistency across multiple projects, mentoring team members, managing risk, and helping drive operational performance.

Key

Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and support Assistant Managers and Project Engineers

Maintain control of project schedules, budgets, forecasts, procurement, and change management

Serve as a senior escalation point for project risks, scope conflicts, and client issues

Ensure consistent execution standards across project teams

Maintain strong relationships with owners, architects, engineers, consultants, and subcontractors

Partner with senior leadership on staffing plans, workload balancing, and operational improvements

Promote safety, quality, accountability, and professionalism across all projects

What This Role Requires

5+ years of experience managing complex commercial construction projects

Demonstrated success managing multiple projects simultaneously

Prior experience mentoring or leading Project Managers

Strong financial, contractual, and operational judgment

Experience with negotiated, design-build, or repeat-client work preferred

Ability to operate independently with minimal day-to-day executive oversight

Compensation &

Benefits

Competitive salary between $125,000 to $175,000 (based on experience)

Annual performance bonus, typically 10% + discretion

$800/month car allowance

401(k) with 4% match

20 days PTO + 10 Paid Holiday Days
