The Senior Project Manager is a highly experienced individual contributor responsible for leading complex, customer-facing projects from initiation through completion. This role manages multiple projects using various project execution methodologies, prepares customer-facing project quotes, and serves as a trusted delivery leader for both customers and internal stakeholders. Senior Project Managers are relied upon by leadership for accurate project status, risk assessment, and execution insight, and they contribute to continuous improvement of project management practices.
Essential Job Functions
Lead complex, customer-facing projects through all phases of the project lifecycle
Manage multiple concurrent projects with varying scope, schedule, and risk profiles
Serve as the primary point of contact for customers on assigned projects
Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, resource plans, and budgets
Prepare customer-facing project quotes, schedules, and scope definitions
Coordinate cross-functional teams including Engineering, Manufacturing, Test, Supply Chain, Quality, and Operations
Track and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies and drive mitigation strategies
Manage project scope changes, including impact analysis and customer communication
Prepare and present regular project status updates to customers and internal leadership
Facilitate project meetings, decision-making, and accountability across teams
Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with contractual, quality, and delivery commitments
Identify execution gaps and contribute to continuous improvement of project management processes and tools
Minimum
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience
Project Management experience with Circuit Boards and Circuit Board Design processes.
Demonstrated experience leading customer-facing, cross-functional projects to completion
Strong understanding of multiple project management methodologies (e.g., Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid)
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including customer-facing communication
Ability to operate independently in complex, high-visibility situations
Experience supporting new product introduction (NPI) and customer delivery programs
Familiarity with embedded hardware, firmware, or software development environments
Desired
Familiarity with contract terms, change management, and commercial considerations
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
Ability to mentor and guide other Project Managers informally
Physical requirements
Travel as required to support customer-facing project activities (typically limited and planned)
Requires sitting, standing, and walking in an office or manufacturing environment
Requires talking, hearing, and both near and far vision
Lifting minimum 40 lbs
