Desired Schedule: A minimum of one shift per week is preferred. Shift times and days are determined between the supervisor and the volunteer and are dependent on project needs.
El Pueblo History Museum, Pueblo, CO Position Description: The Facilities volunteer will assist the Adobe Plaster Maintenance Manager with onsite projects at the El Pueblo History Museum. The volunteer will work with staff to determine participation with some of following projects:
Organizing maintenance workspaces (sorting, inventory, and disposal of parts) Small renovation projects (this can include painting, cleaning, landscaping, adobe making) Event takedown, breakdown, and pre-event set up
Some projects will require the lifting of heavy materials but should not exceed 75 pounds. Team lifting is expected. Impact - This work helps our team maintain the local workspaces and provide support with upkeep of the museum space.
Desired Skills:
Knowledge of construction terminology like:
architectural, structural, mechanical, data, electrical, etc…
Ability to life up to 75 pounds Ability to effectively use and read measuring tools such as rulers and tape measures.
Ability to use hand tools (hammer, screwdriver, pliers, etc…)
