We are partnering with a growing manufacturing organization in the Raleigh, NC area seeking an experienced

Senior Accountant

to join its accounting and finance team. This role will play a key part in month-end close, financial reporting, inventory accounting, and process improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate is a hands-on accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and enjoys working cross-functionally with operations and leadership teams.

Key

Responsibilities

Lead and support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities

Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules

Analyze financial data and investigate variances to ensure accuracy and completeness

Assist with inventory accounting, cost analysis, and manufacturing-related transactions

Maintain fixed asset records, depreciation schedules, and capital expenditure tracking

Support internal and external audit requests

Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities

Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies

Partner with operations, supply chain, and plant leadership to improve financial processes and reporting

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

4+ years of accounting experience

Manufacturing, distribution, or industrial industry experience strongly preferred

Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting

Experience with inventory, cost accounting, and month-end close processes

Advanced Excel skills and financial analysis

Preferred Experience

Standard costing, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and inventory accounting

Fixed assets and capital project accounting

ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, Epicor, or similar

Continuous improvement and process optimization initiatives
