What You’ll Do

Prepare and analyze consolidated financial statements across multiple entities

Take a lead role in the annual financial statement audit and work closely with external auditors

Review general ledger activity, journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting workpapers

Analyze weekly accounts payable activity and investigate unusual or unexpected spending

Review accounts receivable balances, including valuation, allowances, and reserve calculations

Prepare and review complex accounting schedules and financial analyses

Support insurance-related audit work and reserve calculations

Perform variance and trend analysis to identify issues and explain financial results

Evaluate existing reporting processes and identify opportunities for automation and greater efficiency

Help strengthen accounting processes and controls as the organization continues to grow

Provide guidance and coaching to other members of the accounting team

What They’re Looking For

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

4+ years of progressive accounting, financial reporting, or audit experience

Strong understanding of GAAP and financial statement preparation

Experience working with multi-entity and/or consolidated financial reporting

Strong audit background; candidates with heavier audit experience are preferred over primarily tax-focused backgrounds

Excellent analytical skills with the ability to dig into transactions and determine whether the numbers make sense

CPA strongly preferred
