Developing and testing new optical network design and optimization algorithms
Design tooling and gaging utilizing CAD system upon request
Oversees Engineering and Manufacturing production needs
Estimates fabrication costs for Engineering P&QRs and short run production for spares
Assists Designers, Engineers, and Manufacturing Engineers to resolve part and fabrication problems
Creates, updates, and maintains tool drawings, files, and records
Provides budget input
Identifies and implements continuous productivity and quality improvements
Ability to partner with Manufacturing Engineering and other Production Operation teams external suppliers and vendors
At least 4 years experience establishing cost effective tool and fixture designs that support machined metal part production processes
Strong knowledge of machining, assembly and inspection processes for complex multi-axis machined parts
