Experience:
• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• 2 years of Medical Surgical - Orthopedic Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).
• Experience with Epic is preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Nebraska license or compact license (required after submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.
• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.
• Anyone who worked as Staff at any facility in this health system in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone who worked as Per Diem at any facility in this health system in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone who worked as Part-Time at any facility in this health system in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.
• Staff, Part-Time, and Per Diem employees currently working at this health system cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:
Resume: Each employment history entry must include all the following: detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, teaching facility.
References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you're applying to.
Special Requests:
An interview may not be available prior to offer.
Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained.
Submission Limit: Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility.
Eligibility as Current/Previous Employee: Must disclose previous employment on your resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check.
Candidates may not be full-time, part-time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.
RTO must be requested upfront: 7 or fewer days per 13-week contract. Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submission.
Blocked scheduling will not be approved unless it is weekends only; approval can be requested.
Travel pairs will not be accepted when requesting the same schedule or sharing a car.
Unit Details:
24/7 phlebotomy support is available.
Common patients include total knee, total hip, ankle, and total shoulder replacements, as well as spine patients with back and neck conditions.
RNs are not required to titrate drips.
Common titratable or set-rate drips include pain medications, antibiotics, and blood.
The unit uses tele boxes, and tele technicians read and interpret the strips.
Shift & Scheduling:
Night shift runs 1830-0630.
Self-scheduling uses cyclic rotation.
Every other weekend is required.
Holidays rotate in with permanent staff.
If you are placed on call and called back in, you must arrive within 30 minutes.
Floating Requirements:
Floating is to Med-Surg, rehab, or PCU units taking Med-Surg acuity.
7 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1. Start assignment restriction: 14 days
2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required from within the last 12 months
Driver's license required for submission
Certifications:
