Head of Commercial Lines & Risk Management

Commercial Lines Sales Leader

We are working with a growing corporate insurance advisory firm in the Phoenix metro that is searching for a President to lead its commercial lines practice. This senior leadership seat carries full accountability for the practice's growth, profitability, and market reputation. The firm offers specialized advisory across P&C, group benefits, retirement plans, M&A, and private client services.

Responsibilities

Set the vision, revenue goals, and P&L direction for the commercial lines practice in partnership with the CEO

Personally lead a portfolio of middle-market and larger corporate accounts across property, casualty, and liability programs

Guide clients through sophisticated placements, including D&O, EPLI, cyber, captives, and alternative risk structures

Drive new business with a focus on PE-backed and acquisition-active companies

Direct carrier marketing and negotiations to deliver strong terms and pricing for clients

Hire, coach, and hold accountable a team of producers and account executives

Collaborate with benefits, retirement, M&A, and private client colleagues on shared relationships, including deal diligence and post-close integration

Help shape firmwide direction as part of the senior leadership group

The ideal candidate is a seasoned brokerage leader who still loves being in front of clients. They have built a book, developed producers, and can sit comfortably with CEOs and ownership groups as a strategic resource rather than just a placement broker. This is a hybrid role based in the Scottsdale area.
