Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to support daily accounting operations, account reconciliations, and financial close activities. This opportunity is ideal for a dependable accounting professional seeking a stable, long-term role with an international organization.

The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, double-entry accounting, and general ledger fundamentals, along with a proactive approach and willingness to learn.

Key

Responsibilities

Prepare and record journal entries, ensuring accurate application of debits and credits.

Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.

Reconcile general ledger accounts, investigate discrepancies, and resolve outstanding items.

Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed.

Maintain supporting schedules for fixed assets, accruals, and prepaid expenses.

Prepare financial reports and supporting documentation for management.

Coordinate with internal departments to gather and verify financial information.

Assist with internal and external audit requests.

Follow company policies, accounting standards, and internal controls.

Identify practical opportunities to improve accounting processes and accuracy.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

2–4 years of relevant accounting experience.

Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, double-entry bookkeeping, and general ledger accounting.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.

Experience with accounting software or ERP systems; Microsoft Dynamics GP preferred.

Exposure to account reconciliations and month-end close processes.

Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and follow-through.

Clear communication skills and a collaborative, professional approach.

Consistent employment history and interest in a long-term accounting opportunity.

Ability to work onsite in Miramar during the required schedule.
