A leading apparel brand is seeking a Freelance Senior Production Coordinator - Men's Fleece to support the product lifecycle from development through production. This role is ideal for a highly organized production professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys collaborating with cross-functional teams, vendors, and global manufacturing partners.In this position, you will help ensure seasonal milestones are met, oversee production timelines, manage costing activities, and facilitate communication between internal teams and overseas vendors. You will play a key role in keeping product development and production processes on track while supporting successful product launches.

Hourly pay rate up to $40.00 based on experience

Location

NYC hybrid 3-4 days onsite per week

Duration: 3-6+ months

Responsibilities

Coordinate product development and production activities from concept through bulk production

Partner with merchandising, design, sourcing, planning, and technical teams to meet key approval deadlines and seasonal milestones

Maintain and track Time & Action (T&A) calendars, purchase orders, booking calendars, and production status reports

Communicate daily with overseas vendors regarding development, production, costing, and delivery updates

Review, analyze, and manage garment costing information, identifying opportunities and escalating challenges as needed

Monitor production status and proactively resolve issues affecting timelines, quality, or delivery

Partner with buying and planning teams on production planning, liabilities, unit costs, and delivery schedules

Lead cross-functional meetings to review development and production progress

Support regulatory compliance initiatives, including product labeling and country-of-origin requirements

Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and external manufacturing partners

Assist with seasonal allocation planning, factory capacity management, and production bookings

Develop and improve tracking systems, reporting tools, and operational processes

Support special projects and additional production-related initiatives as needed

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business, or a related field

4-6 years of production, sourcing, or product development experience within the apparel industry

Experience supporting men's apparel categories, preferably fleece, knits, or sportswear

Strong understanding of apparel production, costing, timelines, and vendor management

Proficiency in Bamboo Rose, PLM systems, Microsoft Excel, and Google Workspace

Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Detail-oriented with strong follow-through and problem-solving abilities

Proven ability to collaborate across multiple departments and influence cross-functional partners
