Familiarity with EM 385-1-1

Comfort working directly with USACE Quality Assurance representatives
, including joint inspections, deficiency resolution, and documentation reviews
What You’ll Do
Inspect mechanical, electrical, and plumbing installations to confirm they match drawings, specifications, codes, and approved submittals
Lead preparatory, initial, and follow-up inspections for MEP features of work, and document each phase in RMS/QCS
Identify, log, and close out deficiencies with trade partners and the project team
Produce daily QC reports, inspection logs, and test records that hold up to government review
Witness and document testing, including pipe pressure tests, insulation resistance (megger) testing, and equipment startups
Review MEP submittals for compliance before installation begins
Coordinate daily with the QC Manager, superintendents, subcontractors, and USACE QA staff
Support system turnover, commissioning, and closeout documentation as systems come online
What We’re Looking For
5+ years of MEP quality control or inspection experience on commercial, institutional, or federal construction
At least one project completed under a USACE quality program
Current CQM-C certification
Strong working knowledge of MEP systems and the codes that govern them (NEC, IMC, IPC, or local equivalents)
Comfort working onsite daily and coordinating across multiple trades
Life science, pharmaceutical, or other highly regulated project experience (cleanrooms, process piping, validation support)
Trade background as an electrician, pipefitter, plumber, or HVAC technician
