Job Description

Shisha tobacco distributors are easy to name and hard to reach. The Business Development Officer at Global Shisha Tobacco finds them: importers who hold a tobacco licence, distributors who supply lounges and retailers, wholesalers, and companies that pack under their own label. You work country by country across the Gulf, Europe, Asia and Africa.

The company's country guides tell you what kind of buyer is worth approaching in each market. In Türkiye, for example, only certain licensed firms may import, so a general trader there is not a prospect. You build the list, write the first message, follow up, and hand sales a buyer who has already said what they need and where it is going.

Salary: PKR 60,000-70,000 per month. Negotiable according to experience and skills. Bonuses apply in this role and are explained at interview.

Responsibilities

Build prospect lists of importers, distributors and wholesalers by country from directories, trade fairs and market news
Write first approaches by email, LinkedIn and WhatsApp and follow up on a fixed schedule
Confirm that each prospect is a lawful trade buyer for its market before passing it to sales
Note destination, likely volume and product interest so the sales executive can quote without starting again
Keep the CRM accurate, including the reason a prospect was dropped

Requirements

Strong written English and a clear, short writing style
Research skills: finding the buyer or owner by name, not the info@ address
Persistence; most prospects answer on the third or fourth message
Tidy record-keeping in a CRM or spreadsheet
On site in E-11, Islamabad, Pakistan, 1:00 PM - 10:00 PM; working days confirmed at interview

Preferred

Lead generation experience in export, FMCG distribution or wholesale
Knowledge of Gulf or European distribution channels
Arabic, German or Turkish reading ability
