The individual will work across engineering, construction, quality, commissioning, contractor, vendor, and owner-side teams.
This is
not a purely design-engineering position
. The person will not replace the Engineer of Record and will not be responsible for stamped or sealed documents. The right candidate will understand electrical distribution systems, large-scale construction environments, and how to represent electrical scope effectively throughout project execution.

Industrial construction experience, ideally involving large-scale electrical infrastructure
Experience supporting electrical scope from design coordination through construction, installation, commissioning, or closeout
Working knowledge of medium-voltage and low-voltage electrical systems
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, one-lines, schematics, controls diagrams, specifications, and construction documents
Experience identifying, escalating, and helping resolve electrical construction or commissioning issues in the field
Experience coordinating with stakeholders such as the EOR, GC, electrical contractors, commissioning/quality teams, project management, vendors, manufacturers, and owner-side teams
Experience reviewing or supporting electrical scopes of work, contractor deliverables, design updates, RFIs, submittals, schedules, budgets, or change-related documentation
Strong communication skills and the ability to clearly represent electrical scope in a construction-facing environment
Preferred
Electrical Engineering degree
Professional Engineer background, although no stamped or sealed work is required
Medium-voltage power distribution experience, including AIS/GIS switchgear, controls schematics, MV cable installation, relays, terminations, and transformers
Experience reviewing pull calculations, overseeing medium-voltage cable pulls, and inspecting MV terminations
Experience with NEC, NFPA 70E, OSHA requirements, electrical testing standards, commissioning, and power systems
Experience with short-circuit coordination and arc-flash reports, including arc-flash labeling and protective-device coordination
Experience supporting design from basis of design through IFC, procurement, bidding, manufacturing, delivery, installation, commissioning, and issue resolution
Experience supporting project budgets, schedules, contractor resources, proposals, SOWs, bids, scope definition, design cycles, design review, approvals, and contractor performance
Ideal Backgrounds
Electrical Engineer moving toward PM / leadership:
Electrical Engineering degree with construction-facing experience and a clear move into project management, owner’s rep, field coordination, commissioning, or construction leadership.
Engineer who has moved into PM / owner’s rep work:
Electrical Engineer, Electrical Project Engineer, Electrical Field Engineer, Electrical Commissioning Engineer, or Electrical Power Systems Engineer who has transitioned into a more project-facing or owner’s rep-style role.
Experienced non-degreed electrical construction leader:
Candidates without an Electrical Engineering degree may still be considered if they have substantial experience overseeing electrical scopes on large-scale industrial, mission-critical, data center, power, or heavy infrastructure projects.
Candidates should be able to speak credibly about electrical distribution, construction execution, field issue resolution, contractor coordination, and commissioning support.
