Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist for an immediate contract opportunity through the end of March. This role will provide coverage for an upcoming leave, with an opportunity to overlap with the current employee for training and knowledge transfer.

The primary focus will be managing public works procurement and solicitations, including Invitations to Bid (ITBs), Requests for Proposals (RFPs), quotes, agreements, amendments, and contract closeouts.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and manage procurement solicitations, including ITBs, RFPs, and requests for quotes.

Develop and execute procurement documents, agreements, amendments, and closeout documentation.

Coordinate solicitation timelines, pre-proposal meetings, vendor questions, and evaluation processes.

Ensure procurement activities follow established policies, procedures, and applicable requirements.

Provide guidance to staff on procurement processes, documentation, and systems.

Support contract administration and maintain accurate procurement records.

Ideal Candidate

Experience with public works procurement and solicitation processes.

Knowledge of ITBs, RFPs, quotes, agreements, amendments, and contract closeouts.

Strong organizational, documentation, and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and step into an active procurement process quickly.

Available to start as soon as possible, ideally allowing for overlap and training before early November.
