Description American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift position requiring 3 years of acute care experience and a VT or compact RN license. Details
General Med/Surg unit providing medical, surgical, outpatient, observation, swing bed, and pediatric care Primarily adult patients with occasional pediatric cases (not a pediatric floor) Night shift, 7pm-7am, three 12-hour shifts totaling 36 hours per week Every other weekend required Meditech EMR experience preferred Critical access hospital setting with 25 beds
Requirements
Active VT or compact RN license required BLS (American Heart Association) and ACLS certifications required Minimum 3 years of acute care experience required Flu shot required with no exceptions Pediatric-only RN experience is not sufficient for this role
Additional Information
Coordinate comprehensive patient care using the Nursing Process for adult and occasional pediatric patients Collaborate with the Unit Director, Clinical Nurse Lead, and/or Nursing Supervisor during shifts Provide holistic care addressing patients' age, physiological, spiritual, psychosocial, and developmental needs Located in a rural area without public transportation or rideshare access, so personal vehicle is recommended Travelers are responsible for securing their own housing, though local housing resources are available All required credentials must be uploaded five business days before start date First-time travelers may be considered
