PESI · Eau Claire, Wisconsin
PESI prides itself on being one of the most respected and influential
providers of continuing education in the world.
Since 1979 we’ve equipped millions of professionals with the training they need to change lives through our
webinars, on-demand recordings, virtual summits, in-person conferences, live workshops and more.
Today we’ve grown into an international organization with customers and employees around the globe…
…but working here still feels like a close-knit community of team members united by a shared mission to connect knowledge with need.
We’re looking to add someone to our team as a Clinical Business Development Manager – Experienced Mental Health Therapist.
That means developing strong relationships with thought leaders, expert trainers, authors, and organizations across the fields we serve; keeping a sharp eye on new developments, emerging topics, and important conversations, and seeking out distinctive voices whose perspectives and approaches will
help our professional learners excel at their work in the mental health and healthcare fields.
So if you’re a clinician who wants to expand your impact beyond the therapy room by shaping education for thousands of other providers, read on.
What You Will Be Doing:
(responsibilities)
Act like an entrepreneur by spotting opportunities, testing ideas, learning from results, and looking for what’s next
Identify the latest trends, techniques, approaches, topics, and leading voices in the psychotherapy field that are most relevant to professionals
Identify and build strong relationships with trainers and respected voices in psychotherapy, including nationally recognized experts and emerging thought leaders
Turn those ideas and relationships into compelling CE webinars, conferences, courses, and training programs that clinicians find practical, credible, and worth attending
Use marketing, sales, copywriting, and data-driven insights to create persuasive offers that attract clinicians seeking relevant, impactful professional CE training
Collaborate effectively across the organization with various departments to bring educational products and programs to market in a timely manner
Stay connected to evolving conversations surrounding the treatment of trauma, anxiety, couples work, ethics, neurodiversity, cultural responsiveness, and emerging therapeutic modalities
Use performance data and market trends to evaluate marketing strategies, refine campaign direction, and improve future results
What You Bring to the Team:
(skills, mindset, and requirements)
At least 5 years’ experience as a licensed mental health provider including psychotherapists, psychologists, counselors, social workers, or marriage and family therapists with either a master’s degree or PhD
A strong clinical identity and curiosity about the evolving mental health landscape
The ability to recognize what makes clinical training practical, credible, and meaningful for working professionals
An interest in scaling clinical knowledge through education, content development, speaker partnerships, and market strategy
Travel to events and conferences
Evening/weekend calls/emails when emergencies might arise with speakers and travel/event issues
Flexibility to be self-motivated but also excel in a team environment
A keen entrepreneurial drive and comfort testing ideas, learning from results, and moving quickly toward what’s next
Comfort collaborating with others, asking questions, seeking advice, and saying “I don’t know” when there is more to learn
Ability to be candid, respectfully disagree, and support ideas with data while staying open to where that data leads
Drive to find “what’s next,” take smart risks, learn from failure, and stay in the driver’s seat of your career
Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects while ensuring accuracy, quality, and on-time completion
Intermediate to advanced computer proficiency in Microsoft applications
Entrepreneurial background
Experience presenting, training, supervising, teaching, or developing clinical content
People who are creative, adaptable, collaborative, team-first, and energized by learning
People who seek answers and advice, ask thoughtful questions, and stay open to feedback and debate
People who can say “I don’t know” when they do not, and “here’s why I disagree” when they do
People who support ideas with data, follow that data as they scale, and use results to make better decisions
People who prefer to wait for someone else to tell them what to do next
People who need extreme structure or routine to stay on track
People who struggle with constructive criticism, feedback, or debate from experienced industry experts
People who prefer to work as lone wolves rather than build strong internal relationships and bring a collaborative attitude to every interaction
