Finance Manager — Nonprofit | Temp-to-Hire

Washington, DC | Hybrid

$62.50–$72.12/hour DOE

Anticipated permanent salary: $130,000–$150,000 DOE

We are recruiting on behalf of one of our nonprofit clients for an experienced nonprofit accounting professional to fill a hands-on Finance Manager role. The position begins as a full-time temporary assignment, with potential for permanent employment.

Reporting to the VP of Finance, you will supervise a Senior Accountant and manage the daily relationship with an outsourced accounting firm. Your work will include month-end close, financial reporting, AP/AR oversight, restricted-fund and grant accounting, internal controls, and audit coordination.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting and eight or more years of progressive accounting experience.

Nonprofit accounting experience and working knowledge of Sage Intacct.

At least two years supervising staff, including experience managing hybrid teams.

Strong Excel skills, a collaborative approach, and the ability to explain financial information clearly.

CPA strongly preferred. Commitment to civil rights, racial justice, and equity is essential.
