The Registered Occupational Therapist evaluates, selects, performs, and/or directs assistance in educational, vocational, and recreational activities designed to restore maximum function to physically and/or mentally disabled patients upon physician referral. Works collaboratively with family members and health team professionals regarding patients' abilities and goals. Shift Information 40 hours per week, with 10-hour shifts. Holiday coverage is required. QualificationsBachelor of Science or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from a college or university accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association. Eligibility for a license or a current license from the State of Oregon. Current Oregon driver's license required. Current CPR certification required. Licensure/Certification/Registration Must possess the necessary requisites for licensure as an Occupational Therapist by the Oregon State Board of Health. Current CPR certification is mandatory. Experience/Knowledge Knowledge of occupational therapy related to physical disability and rehabilitation procedures, as well as general medicine, surgical, and mental health concepts is required. The candidate must understand the principles of teamwork and recognize the capabilities and limitations of other team members. A positive attitude and strong communication skills are essential, with effective team skills including interaction, support, and respect.
