You look at it and start thinking about hydraulic jacks, slide tracks, cribbing, load distribution, and the safest way to get it where it needs to go.

At Edwards Moving & Rigging, we're searching for experienced Jack & Slide Technicians who understand that moving extremely heavy equipment isn't about brute force.
It's about knowledge. Preparation. Precision. Teamwork. And knowing what can happen when even the smallest detail is overlooked.
If you've worked with hydraulic jacking systems, sliding equipment, and specialized heavy rigging, we want to talk with you.
As a Jack & Slide Technician at Edwards, you'll work alongside experienced rigging professionals to lift, move, position, and install some of the heaviest industrial equipment in the country.
It's about knowing how to get it there safely, accurately, and without compromising the equipment, the crew, or the surrounding environment.
You Understand That Inches Matter
Anyone who has worked with jack and slide systems knows that the actual movement is only part of the job.
When you're moving equipment this heavy, a few inches can make a very big difference.
And the people who understand that are the people we want on our team.
What We're Looking For
But you do need to understand how heavy loads behave, how hydraulic systems work, and why proper setup matters.
Travel Is Part of the Opportunity
The equipment we move doesn't always happen to be conveniently located near home.
Our projects take us to industrial facilities and jobsites throughout the United States.
That means nationwide travel is part of this position.
You'll encounter different equipment, different environments, different lifting and sliding challenges, and opportunities to apply your experience on projects that are anything but routine.
