Role Description

The PhD Faculty – CS & IT role is a full-time, on-site position based at the Sargodha campus. The role involves designing and delivering undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Computer Science and Information Technology, using up-to-date curricula and teaching methods. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing lectures, supervising labs, mentoring students, assessing academic performance, and providing academic advising. The faculty member will also conduct and publish research, supervise student research projects and theses, participate in curriculum development, and contribute to departmental meetings and committees. Engagement in community outreach, industry collaboration, and accreditation activities is expected as part of the academic role.

Qualifications

Doctoral degree (PhD) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution.
Demonstrated expertise in core CS & IT domains such as software engineering, data structures and algorithms, databases, networks, artificial intelligence, or related areas.
Proven record of academic research, including peer-reviewed publications, conference presentations, and participation in funded projects where applicable.
Experience with university-level teaching, course design, and assessment, with the ability to use diverse teaching strategies and educational technologies.
Strong communication, mentoring, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, students, and administrative staff.
Commitment to inclusive, student-centered learning environments and adherence to academic ethics and professional standards.
Experience supervising student projects or theses and guiding research activities is highly beneficial.
Willingness to engage in departmental service, quality assurance, accreditation processes, and continuous professional development.
