Assignment Type: 13-week travel nurse contract

Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,430-$2,550

Shift: 12-hour day/PM shifts

Guaranteed Hours: 24 hours per week; scheduling may vary based on census

Weekend and Holiday Rotation: Every third weekend with holiday rotation

Unit: Birthing center with 3 LDRP rooms, 2 postpartum rooms, and 1 triage room

Average Volume: Approximately 21 deliveries per month, with daily census varying

Charting: EPIC experience highly preferred

Additional Scheduling: On-call coverage may be requested during low-census periods; callback assignments have a 2-hour minimum

Labor and Delivery RN

Requirements

At least 2 years of obstetric nursing experience, including current Labor and Delivery RN experience

Current, unrestricted Wisconsin Registered Nurse license

Active BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Active Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification

Bachelor's degree in nursing required

Demonstrated competency in Labor and Delivery nursing

Ability to participate in weekend, holiday, on-call, and floating requirements as assigned

Willingness to follow applicable seasonal infection-prevention and masking policies

Labor and Delivery Nurse

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and the postpartum period

Monitor maternal and fetal status and promptly identify changes requiring intervention

Support vaginal and cesarean deliveries while collaborating with providers and the interdisciplinary care team

Care for patients in labor, delivery, postpartum, and triage areas

Perform assessments, administer medications, document care, and provide patient and family education

Respond effectively to obstetric and neonatal emergencies within the scope of practice

Use EPIC or comparable electronic health record systems to maintain accurate clinical documentation

Float to the medical-surgical department or nearby affiliated locations when operational needs require

Participate in on-call and callback coverage during low-census periods as scheduled
