Tax Senior – Family Office
Where Tax Expertise Meets Technology
Our client is seeking a talented
Tax Senior
to join a sophisticated and highly collaborative family office environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a tax professional who enjoys complex work but wants to move beyond the traditional public accounting track.
In this role, you'll work across
tax, accounting, investments, trusts, partnerships, private foundations, and family-office matters
while also helping identify smarter ways to get the work done. Our client is particularly interested in someone who embraces technology and is excited about using
AI, automation, and data tools
to improve accuracy, efficiency, and insight.

What You'll Be Doing
You'll play an important role in supporting the tax and accounting needs of complex, multi-entity family structures. Responsibilities will include:
Preparing and reviewing income tax estimates, extensions, and returns for
individuals, partnerships, trusts, and private foundations
Maintaining and reconciling investment tax-basis schedules
Researching and resolving federal and state tax notices
Supporting annual tax planning and strategy initiatives
Reconciling K-1s, brokerage activity, business transactions, and other tax-reporting information to the general ledger
Preparing journal entries and ensuring accurate entity-level and cross-system reconciliations
Coordinating 1099s, state withholding, annual reports, and other required filings
Supporting private foundation compliance, annual audits, and
Form 990-PF
reporting
Assisting with financial and administrative needs and responding to special projects and ad-hoc requests
Working with the team to develop and improve
AI-enabled and automated tax and accounting workflows
Exploring tools such as AI platforms, basic scripting, Alteryx, and other technologies that can reduce manual work
Helping evaluate new technology, develop useful AI prompts and workflows, and share best practices with the team.
What We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree in
Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Experience working with
high-net-worth individuals, investment partnerships, trusts, private foundations, and/or nonprofit organizations
Familiarity with accounting and tax platforms such as
Sage and CCH
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
The judgment, professionalism, and discretion necessary to work in a family-office environment
Experience with
family offices, wealth management, private foundation compliance, K-1x, Alteryx, Tableau, or similar tools
is a definite plus. A
CPA or MBA
is preferred but not required.
Technology Isn't an Afterthought Here
We're looking for someone who sees technology as a way to make great work even better.
Experience using tools such as
ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, or other AI platforms
is highly valued. You don't need to be a programmer, but you should be curious about automation and comfortable experimenting with new ways to streamline processes, analyze information, and reduce repetitive work.
