We are looking for a Lead UI/UX Designer who does not wait to be told what to design. The best designers here will surface what the client cannot articulate — the friction they tolerate, the workflow they work around, the problem they have stopped trying to describe. Your job is to understand the product and the user deeply enough to solve problems the client has not yet named. You will own design end-to-end from research through production-ready handoff, and you will do it as an AI-native designer — using tools like Figma Make, Lovable, and v0 not occasionally but excessively, to move faster, prototype earlier, and validate more. This is a leadership role: you will set the design standard, work directly with engineers and US healthcare clients, and make Bitsol’s product interfaces a genuine competitive advantage.
Experience:
5+ years, including 2+ in a lead or senior role
Location:
On-site, Islamabad, Pakistan (with occasional US time zone overlap required)
Employment Type:
Full-time
Key Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end design process: discovery, user research, information architecture, wireframing, prototyping, and final UI delivery.
- Build and maintain a scalable design system used consistently across all Bitsol products.
- Collaborate directly with the PM to translate product requirements into user flows and design solutions.
- Work closely with engineers to ensure design intent is implemented accurately — you attend dev handoffs and review implementations.
- Conduct user research and usability testing with real healthcare users — clinicians, patients, and administrators.
- Ensure all designs meet accessibility standards (WCAG 2.2 AA) and are optimized for both mobile and web.
- Lead design reviews, provide structured feedback, and maintain quality standards across the team.
- Use AI-assisted design tools (Figma Make, Lovable, v0) to prototype ideas rapidly and validate concepts before engineering investment.
- Engage with US-based clients and stakeholders to present and defend design decisions.
- Occasionally, be available in the US time zone for collaboration.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of UI/UX design experience with a portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product design work on mobile and web.
- Expert Figma skills — components, auto-layout, variables, prototyping, and developer handoff.
- Experience designing for healthcare, clinical workflows, or other regulated/complex domains is strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to build and maintain design systems at scale.
- Strong understanding of mobile-first design principles and platform conventions (iOS and Android).
- Working knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility requirements and how to design to them.
- Ability to conduct user research, synthesize findings, and translate insights into design decisions.
- Comfortable presenting work to clients and receiving feedback professionally.
- Familiarity with AI-powered prototyping tools (Figma Make, Lovable, v0) is a strong plus.
Non-Negotiable Standards
- Design with intent: every pixel has a reason. No gratuitous decoration, no ambiguous flows.
- Design is a team sport: you collaborate, explain your decisions, and take feedback constructively.
- Respects engineering constraints: beautiful designs that cannot be built are not good designs.
- Detail orientation: spacing, typography, and interaction states matter and are not left to chance.
- Solves untold problems: you are not a pixel-pusher executing a brief. You are expected to identify what the client has not said, understand why their current experience fails them, and design the solution they needed but could not describe.
- AI-native by default: Figma Make, Lovable, v0, and other AI design tools are not occasionally used — they are your primary prototyping environment. You move fast because AI lets you, and you use that speed to validate more and ship better.
If this sounds like the environment you thrive in — we’d like to hear from you.
