In a nutshell

Department: Finance

Reports to: Director, Finance

This highly analytical, hands-on role advances sales tax compliance, financial operations and SAP business processes across North America. It combines sales tax, accounting, data analytics and ERP expertise to strengthen compliance, improve reporting and drive operational excellence with Finance, Sales, Operations and IT.

What you will be doing

Strengthen sales tax compliance, audit readiness and financial controls.

Serve as a Finance SAP super user and cross-functional business systems resource.

Analyze complex financial and transactional data to improve accuracy and decision-making.

Support SAP S/4HANA initiatives and streamline financial and operational workflows.

Key tasks and Responsibilities

Extract, analyze, reconcile and validate large volumes of transactional data from SAP and related systems.

Manage collection, validation and maintenance of sales tax exemption documentation and support ongoing compliance.

Coordinate sales tax audits with external tax advisors, auditors and internal stakeholders.

Serve as SAP Super User for Finance and support Sales and Operations teams.

Support SAP S/4HANA implementation and lead ongoing process improvements.

Administer SAP user access and maintain appropriate system controls.

Troubleshoot SAP transactions, billing and reporting issues to improve data accuracy and efficiency.

Support deferred revenue accounting, audit preparation and compliance activities.

Develop reports and analytical tools to improve visibility, decisions and process effectiveness.

Identify opportunities to simplify, automate and enhance financial and operational workflows.

Key Skillset

Strong SAP knowledge in at least two modules: SD, MM, FI or CO; experience with SQVI and SE16N.

Advanced Excel capabilities, including large data analysis, Power Pivot, VBA/macros, automation and visualization.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational and communication skills.

Ability to work independently, influence stakeholders and manage competing priorities with accuracy.

Continuous improvement mindset and a hands-on approach to systems, controls and data.

Your education &

experience

Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Accounting, Finance or a related field.

At least five years of professional experience, with expertise in two or more of sales tax, accounting, financial systems, business analytics or ERP support.

Experience with ERP implementations, upgrades or major enhancements preferred.

Willingness to obtain a relevant professional certification within two years of hire.

Ability to demonstrate strong SAP and Excel skills through a pre-employment assessment.
