Industrial Electrical Technician
Perform
preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance
on industrial production equipment
Troubleshoot electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automation systems
Diagnose and repair
PLCs, motors, VFDs, drives, controls, sensors, and industrial electrical equipment
Troubleshoot PLC-controlled manufacturing equipment and automation systems
Read and interpret
electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical drawings
Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial electrical systems and components
Perform electrical testing and equipment diagnostics to identify root causes of failures
Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, modifications, and continuous improvement projects
Work closely with
maintenance, engineering, and production teams
to reduce equipment downtime
Support preventive maintenance and equipment reliability initiatives
Maintain accurate maintenance documentation and follow established procedures
Follow all OSHA, electrical safety,
lockout/tagout (LOTO) , and company safety requirements
Qualifications
2+ years of industrial electrical maintenance experience
in manufacturing, steel, metals, recycling, or another heavy industrial environment
Knowledge of industrial controls, automation, and electrical systems
Ability to read and interpret
electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
Working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems
Ability to troubleshoot equipment in a fast-paced production environment
Commitment to safe work practices and a strong
safety mindset
Preferred
Associate or Bachelor's degree in
Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Industrial Automation , or a related field
Journeyman Electrician
license
Military electrical or electronics experience, including
U.S. Navy Nuclear
training
Previous
lead technician, team lead, or maintenance leadership
experience
