Job Description
Insight Global is seeking experienced
CCTV / Low-Voltage Installation Technicians
to support a large-scale retail security installation project in the Dayton, Ohio area.
In this role, technicians will install and support commercial CCTV and IP camera systems, including running and terminating Cat5/Cat6 cabling, mounting cameras, and testing completed installations. Candidates should be comfortable reading basic installation drawings, working from ladders or lifts, and completing work independently in an active commercial environment.
This is a contract opportunity with the potential to lead to additional regional projects, travel assignments, Lead Technician opportunities, or full-time employment based on performance and project demand.
Must-Have
Ability to read basic installation drawings and equipment layouts
Ability to use standard hand and power tools
Ability to work independently and collaborate with an installation team
Ability to work safely at heights and operate lifts
Reliable transportation
Valid driver’s license
Install commercial CCTV and IP camera systems
Pull, route, terminate, test, and label Cat5/Cat6 cabling
Mount, position, aim, and test security cameras
Install camera brackets, housings, and related low-voltage equipment
Read and follow camera layouts, floor plans, and installation drawings
Troubleshoot basic camera, connectivity, and cabling issues
Work safely from ladders, lifts, and elevated work platforms
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Complete daily progress reports
Communicate project updates, issues, and completed work to the project team
