Job Description

John B. Sanfilippo & Son, Inc. (JBSS) is looking for a motivated Safety Intern to gain hands-on experience supporting workplace safety initiatives in a manufacturing environment. This internship is a great opportunity for a student interested in building a career in Safety, EHS, or manufacturing operations.

What You’ll Do

Assist with facility safety inspections and help identify potential workplace hazards.

Support safety training, procedures, documentation, and employee safety initiatives

Help track safety observations, corrective actions, and safety-related data.

Participate in safety meetings and continuous improvement projects.

Gain exposure to OSHA requirements and manufacturing safety practices.

Collaborate with Safety, Operations, HR, and other teams on safety-related projects.

What We’re Looking For

Currently pursuing a degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail.

Comfortable working in both office and manufacturing environments.

A positive attitude and interest in learning about workplace safety.
