If you enjoy being the person clients call for advice, this role offers the chance to take real ownership of those relationships while leading complex tax work.
An established CPA and advisory firm of around 150 people is looking for a Tax Senior Manager in New York City. Its clients include entrepreneurial businesses, business owners and high-net-worth individuals across real estate, manufacturing and distribution, art galleries, retail, construction and nonprofit organisations.
You’ll work closely with Partners, serve as a senior point of contact for clients and help develop the tax professionals around you.
The opportunity
Own key client relationships and lead tax engagements
Perform final review of complex returns and workpapers
Advise business owners and high-net-worth clients on tax planning
Handle complex federal and state tax matters
Work with trust and estate documents where relevant to client tax planning
Mentor staff and managers, and help improve the team’s work
Identify opportunities to provide further advice to existing clients
What they’re looking for
10+ years of public accounting tax experience, including at least two years in management
Confidence managing engagements and advising clients directly
Experience with a varied commercial and private client base; real estate exposure would be particularly useful
A background in a stable, mid-sized public accounting firm
CCH Axcess or Engagement experience would be helpful
