Database Developer

Contract

job with a client in

Plano, TX/ Jersey City, NJ/Charlotte, NC - Hybrid (3 days on site in a Week) . Ideally looking for applicants with a solid background in the financial services industry.

Senior Database Security Developer/Engineer

Platform engineering

Cloud database security

This is not project-based work

Ongoing engineering and automation across environments

What HM Is Actually Looking For

Senior candidates who can step in and take ownership

Strong Python + database + cloud combination

Engineers who are

Independent

Hands-on

Able to work in existing systems

Core Skills Required

10+ years experience

Strong database background

SQL Server and/or Postgres preferred

Oracle is helpful

Python (must have)

Cloud experience

AWS (RDS)

Azure

Linux + shell scripting

REST APIs

Database Security

Requirements

Audit logging

Encryption (in transit and at rest)

Identity and access management

Entitlements

Password vaulting

Nice to Have

Guardium or similar database activity monitoring tools

PowerShell, Ansible

CI/CD (GitHub, pipelines)

Jira, Horizon

Exposure to newer automation tools (Copilot, etc.)
