Junior HR Leave & Accommodations Associate

6+ month contract

Fort Mill, SC (Hybrid)

Position Summary

The Leave & Accommodations Associate will provide temporary administrative support to the Leave & Accommodations team. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their HR career who is organized, detail-oriented, and interested in gaining experience in leave administration and workplace accommodations.

The role will assist with employee inquiries, documentation, data entry, case follow-up, and coordination with internal partners and the third-party leave administrator.

Responsibilities

Respond to routine employee questions related to leaves of absence and accommodations.

Monitor the leave and accommodation mailbox and help ensure inquiries receive timely responses.

Enter and update leave and accommodation information in Workday.

Assist with coordinating leave requests between employees and the third-party leave administrator.

Track requests, documentation, and outstanding follow-up items.

Provide employees with required accommodation paperwork and follow up on outstanding documentation.

Support communication with HR partners, Payroll, and managers regarding leave and accommodation matters.

Assist with Paid Parental Benefit requests.

Maintain accurate records and documentation.

Escalate questions or more complex cases to the appropriate team member.

Qualifications

High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.

1–2 years of HR, administrative, benefits, or related experience preferred.

Previous leave of absence or accommodation experience is helpful but not required.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to manage multiple requests and priorities.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Comfortable handling sensitive and confidential information.

Proficiency in Outlook, Excel, and Word.

Experience with Workday and/or Smartsheet is a plus.

Comfortable learning and navigating multiple systems and web-based tools.

Estimated Min Rate : $14.00

Estimated Max Rate : $20.00
