Senior Accountant
A growing, technology-enabled services organization is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its accounting and finance team. This role will support core accounting operations, financial reporting, and month-end close activities while partnering with accounting leadership to improve processes and support continued business growth.
Key
Support the monthly close process, including preparation and analysis of balance sheet and income statement accounts.
Maintain general ledger accounts and ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records.
Analyze financial results and investigate variances against budgets and forecasts.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad hoc financial reports and analyses.
Prepare account reconciliations and supporting schedules for internal and external audit requests.
Research accounting issues and assist with the application of appropriate accounting treatment.
Partner with accounting leadership to analyze financial information and communicate key findings.
Identify opportunities to streamline accounting workflows, improve reporting accuracy, and strengthen internal processes.
Assist with the evaluation and implementation of accounting systems, automation tools, and process documentation.
Manage competing priorities while meeting deadlines and maintaining accurate financial records.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Strong understanding of general accounting principles and financial reporting.
Experience with general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, and month-end close.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other standard business applications.
High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
Ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion.
A proactive approach to process improvement, automation, and documentation.
Preferred
Exposure to budgeting, forecasting, and financial variance analysis.
Experience identifying opportunities to automate accounting processes and improve reporting workflows.
