We’re recruiting a
Senior Product Owner
for an established transportation technology business developing software that helps commercial fleets operate safely and efficiently.
This is an opportunity to take ownership of a web platform, influence product decisions, and deliver improvements that create measurable value for customers. You’ll work closely with Product Management, Engineering, Design, and QA to translate strategic priorities into clear requirements and high-quality software.
The Role
Own and prioritise the product backlog, balancing customer needs, business objectives, and technical considerations.
Translate complex business requirements into actionable user stories and acceptance criteria.
Lead backlog refinement, sprint planning, and discovery sessions to support predictable delivery.
Partner with Product Management to execute the roadmap and deliver strategic initiatives incrementally.
Work closely with engineering, design, and QA throughout the development lifecycle.
Communicate priorities, progress, risks, and trade-offs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Build a deep understanding of the web platform and act as a trusted point of contact for internal teams.
Use customer feedback and data to improve usability, scalability, and development processes.
What We’re Looking For
5+ years’ experience
as a Product Owner or in a similar product-focused role.
Strong business process analysis skills, with experience translating requirements into technical solutions.
A solid understanding of
web applications and API-based systems .
Practical experience with
Agile/Scrum
and backlog management tools such as
Jira or Azure DevOps .
Confidence making prioritisation decisions and explaining the reasoning behind them.
Familiarity with user-centred design and modern web usability standards.
The ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive delivery without direct authority.
A bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
You’ll suit this role if you enjoy taking ownership, bringing clarity to complex requirements, and balancing day-to-day delivery with longer-term product goals.
