Special Education Teacher Make a real difference in the lives of students by supporting their educational journeys as a Special Education Teacher in a dynamic elementary school resource setting. This rewarding contract opportunity runs from ASAP through May 21, 2027, offering the chance to build strong relationships while working regular weekday hours. You'll serve a vibrant caseload of students in the resource program at a welcoming elementary school, providing targeted support in reading, math, and social skills. Working Monday through Friday from 7:15 am to 2:45 pm, you will be a vital collaborator in a team-oriented environment. Key Qualifications
Current Special Education Teacher license in South Carolina (required) Previous experience in a resource classroom or special education role preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills with students, families, and colleagues Ability to adapt instruction and materials to meet individualized education plans (IEPs) Organized, proactive, and committed to student growth and success
Core Responsibilities
Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction to students with a variety of learning needs Develop, implement, and help monitor IEPs in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and interventions Foster an inclusive, positive, and supportive classroom culture Communicate regularly with families and staff to share updates and strategies
