Audit Senior
Glenview, IL
A growing public accounting firm is looking for an Audit Senior who wants to take ownership of engagements and work closely with clients. You’ll lead fieldwork from planning through completion, guide junior staff, and work with managers and partners on audits for privately held businesses, small businesses, and nonprofit organizations.
What you’ll do
Lead audit fieldwork, including planning, testing, documentation, and reporting.
Review workpapers, financial statements, and supporting documentation for accuracy and compliance with professional standards.
Serve as a direct point of contact for clients, gathering information, resolving questions, and providing engagement updates.
Identify audit issues and control weaknesses, and discuss practical recommendations with the engagement team.
Supervise and mentor associates and interns, providing feedback as they develop.
Help managers and partners shape engagement plans and keep projects on schedule.
What we’re looking for
A CPA license or active progress toward certification.
A solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and GAAS.
Strong client communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
