Job Description
Lead preconstruction strategy and planning for commercial construction projects from initial concept through groundbreaking.
Oversee conceptual estimates, cost models, project budgets, and Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) proposals.
Manage, mentor, and develop preconstruction managers and estimators.
Partner with clients, architects, engineers, and project teams to deliver innovative, cost-effective solutions.
Drive competitive bidding strategies, improve estimating processes, and help increase project win rates.
Evaluate project risks, market conditions, and opportunities to improve pricing accuracy and profitability.
Lead client presentations and build relationships that create long-term business opportunities.
Collaborate with senior leadership to support growth, operational excellence, and market expansion.
Qualifications
Experience managing complex commercial construction budgets, proposals, and estimating activities.
Demonstrated leadership experience managing or mentoring preconstruction or estimating professionals.
Strong understanding of conceptual estimating, cost planning, bidding, and construction delivery methods.
Familiarity with construction estimating software and project management tools.
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience welcomed.
Experience with GMP, CMAR, ground-up construction, or renovation projects is a plus.
