Controller | $100M D2C Health & Wellness Company | South, FL or Remote
A fast-growing, $100M direct-to-consumer health and wellness company is hiring a Controller to lead its accounting and financial reporting function. The role is based out of the company's headquarters and can be local or remote.
The Role
The Controller will own accounting and finance operations and lead a team of accountants, financial analysts and other finance professionals. Leadership wants a sharp, versatile finance leader who is strong across every function of the controllership and comfortable in a fast-moving, product-driven business.
Lead and develop a team of accountants, financial analysts and other finance professionals
Own month-end and year-end close, ensuring accurate and timely financial statements
Oversee general ledger, AP, AR, payroll accounting, fixed assets and revenue recognition
Manage inventory accounting, including costing, reserves, physical counts and COGS
Oversee accounting for subscription revenue, including deferred revenue and recurring billing
Manage financial relationships with third-party manufacturers, including cost tracking, purchase commitments and vendor reconciliation
Reconcile ecommerce platform and payment processor activity, including refunds, chargebacks and sales tax
Maintain internal controls and manage audit, tax and banking relationships
Partner with executive leadership on budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and working capital
Improve systems and processes to scale with growth, applying automation and AI tools to reporting and analysis
Broad technical command of accounting and financial reporting
Experience with ERP and ecommerce systems; scaling a finance team through growth
Strong analytical ability and sound business judgment
Comfortable working directly with senior leadership
Familiarity with AI and automation tools in finance; AI savvy is a plus
