the country’s largest privately held footwear retailer in business for 66 years with nearly 1,000 stores in 47 states, is seeking an experienced Legal Department Administrator to join our team. This position will work in our corporate headquarters located in Concord, NC.

What you should know

We are looking for a highly motivated, detail-oriented individual with strong administrative and contract management skills and experience. You will be responsible for legal department administration and the management of day-to-day contracts and implementation of processes to drive efficiencies for the legal department and the company.

What you will do

Partner with the Chief Legal Officer, Paralegals, and Department heads to streamline the contract preparation, approval, maintenance, and renewal processes.

Maintain and manage the expansion of the automated contract workflow system (e.g., Agiloft) and manage approval, execution, and storage of new and existing Company contracts.

Catalog existing contracts and company policies.

Provide guidance on contract processes, status updates, and company policies with internal stakeholders.

Be primarily responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and tracking of contract requests.

Organize and maintain electronic and hard copy files on department’s shared drive and physical filing system.

Partner with Finance and Accounting departments to process legal invoices and maintain billing policies and procedures.

Restructure billing codes, as needed, to ensure accurate categorization of legal expenses.

Serve as point of contact for outside counsel for payment processing questions.

Liaise with outside counsel for fiscal quarter-end and fiscal year-end invoice estimates, and other administrative needs.

Assist the Chief Legal counsel in the maintenance of Corporate Records and in the drafting of correspondence, memoranda, briefs, and pleadings.

Other administrative duties as assigned, including implementation of new processes, as needed.

Qualifications

5 years’ experience providing administrative support in a law firm or legal department setting.

At least 2 years’ experience managing a Contract Lifecycle Management tool.

At least 2 years’ experience preparing and drafting corporate records.

At least 2 years’ experience preparing responses to subpoenas and discovery responses.
