Our client is seeking a VFD Technical Support Engineer to provide technical assistance and troubleshooting support for variable frequency drives (VFDs), PLCs, and industrial motor control applications. This is a hands-on, onsite position supporting customers and internal teams with equipment troubleshooting, technical questions, product applications, and repairs.
The ideal candidate has a strong electrical or controls background with practical experience working with VFDs, PLCs, and industrial automation equipment. PLC programming experience is a plus but not required.
1-5 years exp.
Provide technical support to customers and internal teams via phone, email, and in person.
Troubleshoot VFDs, PLCs, motor controls, and electrical systems.
Perform root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions.
Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control panel drawings.
Support VFD setup, configuration, testing, and repairs.
Troubleshoot industrial communication protocols (Modbus, EtherNet/IP, PROFINET).
Manage service requests, warranty evaluations, and RMAs.
Coordinate with engineering, sales, and service teams to resolve technical issues.
