Our client Latif Brothers (Instruments) is looking for a Import Operations Coordinator in Lahore

Latif Brothers (Instruments) is seeking a diligent Import and Commercial Operations Assistant to support our import and logistics activities. This role is essential to ensuring the smooth processing of import documentation and coordinating shipments in compliance with company and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate possesses a foundational education in commerce or business, with prior exposure to import documentation and Letter of Credit processing. They demonstrate proficiency in managing import procedures and liaising with banks, freight forwarders, and customs agents. Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and command of Microsoft Office tools are vital to performing this role effectively.

In this position, the Assistant will work under direct supervision and will not manage a team but will collaborate closely with different departments and external partners to ensure timely clearance and accurate documentation. The role involves maintaining comprehensive records, supporting customs clearance activities, and coordinating logistics to facilitate smooth import operations. A minimum of one year of relevant experience is expected to navigate the complexities of commercial operations and contribute to continuous process improvement within the company.

Responsibilities

Manage and process import documentation accurately, ensuring compliance with legal and company policies.
Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping agents, and customs officials to facilitate timely cargo clearance and delivery.
Support the preparation and processing of Letters of Credit and related banking documents.
Maintain detailed records of shipments, customs documentation, and financial transactions related to imports.
Monitor shipment schedules and communicate updates to relevant internal stakeholders.
Use Microsoft Excel and other tools to organize data, track shipments, and generate reports.
Assist in resolving discrepancies or issues related to shipping, documentation, or customs processes.
Collaborate with accounting and finance teams to ensure smooth documentation for payment processing.
Stay updated on import regulations and customs procedures to ensure ongoing compliance.
Perform general administrative duties to support the commercial operations team and enhance operational efficiency.
