Lead Heavy Civil Construction Projects from Start to Finish
Coffman Excavation is seeking an experienced and driven Project Manager to oversee and successfully deliver excavation and civil construction projects throughout the Boise area. This role is ideal for a construction professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys managing multiple priorities, and takes pride in delivering projects safely, on schedule, and within budget.
As a Project Manager, you will work closely with senior leadership, field teams, subcontractors, vendors, and clients while managing all aspects of project execution—from estimating and procurement to scheduling, cost control, and project closeout.
Project Management
Lead construction projects from preconstruction through completion
Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and forecasts
Coordinate field operations, subcontractors, vendors, and project stakeholders
Monitor project performance and proactively resolve issues
Conduct site visits and ensure project milestones are achieved
Estimating & Preconstruction
Perform quantity takeoffs and estimate preparation
Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotations
Participate in bid reviews and proposal development
Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
Contract Administration
Manage and track RFIs, submittals, and plan revisions
Oversee change order preparation and negotiations
Ensure accurate project documentation and reporting
Monitor procurement activities and material deliveries
Safety & Quality
Promote a culture of safety throughout all project phases
Support quality control initiatives and client satisfaction goals
What We're Looking For
5+ years of experience reviewing and interpreting construction plans and specifications
Valid driver's license
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred
Preferred Skills
Strong leadership and team-building abilities
Ability to effectively interact with clients, government agencies, field personnel, and executive leadership
Strong organizational and multitasking capabilities
Ability to thrive under pressure and manage competing priorities

Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
