Indiana Municipal Power Agency is a joint action agency created by Indiana's municipal utilities to provide their complete wholesale power supply and electric transmission delivery. IMPA's headquarters are located in Carmel, Indiana. At IMPA, we support 61 communities in Indiana and Ohio through providing low-cost, reliable, and environmentally responsible electricity, as well as a variety of other services to help in the overall success of each town or city.Our team is seeking a relationship-focused individual who will serve as a trusted resource and ongoing point of contact for our member communities. This role is focused on developing and maintaining strong relationships with our 61 member communities, understanding their needs, and providing relevant training, programs, and resources to support their employees and communities. This is a full-time position that will be a part of IMPA's Member Services Department. This individual will regularly interact with electric utility personnel in a field environment, including electric linemen, operations and field staff, utility managers, and other utility employees. The ideal candidate is someone who is comfortable working with people in both office and field environments.What You'll Bring to the Table:Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experienceElectric utility experience, preferably in public powerExperience building and maintaining strong member relationshipsStrong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skillsCollaborative and service-oriented mindsetThe ability to travel at least 70% of the time, primarily work-day trips within the state of Indiana and periodically overnight.What You'll Be Doing:Maintaining steady contact with IMPA Member communities, member utility staff, IMPA Commissioners, and local community personnel.Coordinating the development of meeting presentations to educate members, their staff, city/town officials, the media and customers about IMPA and public powerOverseeing the IMPA Safety and Training programAssisting with development and management of annual Member Services activities and budgetWhat We're Excited to Share with You: Excellent benefits package including family health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k) plan, paid time off, and a competitive salaryTuition reimbursement and a wide range of development opportunitiesWellness reimbursementsA collaborative and supportive team that is eager to help you succeed
