An Operations Analyst helps manage the oversight of 30+ small-to-medium-sized businesses in the $2M – $10M EBITDA size range in a range of businesses, like specialty contractors, landscaping and garden centers, and outdoor adventure. This is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to:
Work with our companies to collect, organize, systematize, and analyze operating metrics.
Support new company integrations after acquisition, including implementing key operational, HR, and financial systems, and documenting and communicating the key provisions of transaction documents.
Execute on administrative, support, special research, or operational projects within our portfolio companies, helping our CEOs be successful, to include supporting periodic CEO gatherings and best-practice-sharing events.
Execute the monthly financial reporting process for portfolio companies, including creating and maintaining individual company reports, compiling data into standardized templates at the fund and company level, and reporting quarterly investment performance to senior management.
Maintain an internal record of existing debt instruments and contingent payment programs across our portfolio of companies.
Identify and implement technology tools to optimize the Operations Team processes and information gathering.
Help draft, format, and edit periodic investor reporting.
Identify and execute on cross-fund improvements, including opportunities for better documentation and fund-level process automation.
Help manage new company integrations after acquisition, implementing key operational, HR, and financial systems.
Execute on Operations-Team-level assignments like financial analysis & modeling, sector & comparable company research, researching software or service vendors, and identifying potential tuck-in acquisition targets.
The position calls for a highly detail-oriented, information-capturing, project-managing, document-drafting beast who is equally at ease consolidating financials as they are documenting a hiring process or capturing and compiling examples of documents we engage with regularly. We like “scrappy” around here, so if you know what it is to serve, and actually like it, you’ll like this gig.
